Welcome to National University Community Research Institute's (NUCRI) Professional Development Extension (PDX) Online page.

The courses offered are part of NUCRI's collaborative Education, Outreach and Training collaborative for educators in the Institute's CIERRA Corps, and other community practitioners in the public and private sectors. CIERRA is an acronym that stands for Cyber-Infrastructure Education, Recruitment, and Retention.

PDX Online courses and certificate programs are blended, interdisciplinary e-learning offerings that are customized, asynchronous and team taught over flexible two-four and six week periods. Some courses include a Saturday Studio or hands-on workshop session. Participants may be eligible to receive up to five (5) Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) issued through National University's Division of Extended Learning.

Project scholarships and tuition assistance awards also available.

Our first 3-D Printing 5.0 CEU course is set to begin in October.

Fee: $395 (plus $100 for 3-D printing materials)

Dates: October 14 - November 9, 2013

Location: Online

Our first 3-D Printing Non-CEU course is set to begin in November

Fee: $95 (This course is intended for those who already have their own 3-D printer)

Dates: November 11th - 20th, 2013
